Wilaya of Tizi-Ouzou Headquarters

Georgette Cottin-Euziol, a French-born architect who took Algerian nationality in 1964, led a large state construction programme in Kabylia between 1968 and 1975, building schools, a theatre, a teacher-training college and this prefecture — the administrative seat of the newly created wilaya of Tizi-Ouzou — among some fifteen commissions in the province.
