A landscape architect and engineer of the Rana court, credited with designing the Garden of Dreams for Kaiser Shamsher Jang Bahadur Rana in 1920 and, according to the same source, with Singha Durbar itself, the seat of the Rana government, where he is named alongside Kumar Narsingh Rana. He served as architect to Kaiser’s father, the Maharaja Chandra Shamsher, within an aristocracy that sent its sons to Britain and then had them build Edwardian gardens and Palladian ministries at home in brick rather than stone.
